Welcome to the Lochbuie Comprehensive Plan and Development Code update website!
How can Lochbuie preserve and grow its existing characteristics while reaching its fullest potential as a community? That’s one of many questions that will be explored as part of the year-long process of updating Lochbuie’s Comprehensive Plan and Development Code.
A Comprehensive Plan is a community’s roadmap to the future. It’s a 10 to 20 year visionary document that helps guide all aspects of the community, including topics like transportation, economic growth, public facilities, and natural resources.
A Development Code is a set of ordinances enacted by the Town Council that sets standards for land development. Development Code is a broad term and for the purposes of this project, the Town’s zoning ordinance, subdivision regulations, and sign code will be receiving an update. It is beneficial that both the Comprehensive Plan and the Development Code are being updated simultaneously because a Development Code is required by state law to be made in accordance with the Comprehensive Plan.
